Who We Are
Global Environmental Services is a leading nationwide electronics recycler with a state of the art 70,000 square foot facility in Kentucky's heartland. We are a Zero Landfill and Zero exporting electronics recycler. That means Zero for our clients to worry about.
GES is transparent, therefore you are. We track your data, as can you. We offer you full disclosure. And nothing gets away from us.
Where We Came From
Kenneth Gravitt envisioned a way to recycle electronics properly: to do no harm to the environment or to the less fortunate citizens of the communities around the world that are polluted with electronics waste. He saw a way to securely destroy data and to reuse products whenever possible.
In 2008, Global Environmental Services was born. And you'd be hard pressed to find a group of people who take responsibility as seriously as the men and women of GES.
At GES, we follow a solid foundation of basic principles: environmental stewardship, exceptional customer service and economics ethics.
We're setting the standard for all others to follow. Get on board.
Exceptional Customer Service
At Global Environmental Services we're flexible, quick to provide resolution, and committed to meeting the customer's requirements while following sound environmental practices and economic good sense. We work with your customer driven Service Level Agreements (SLA's) and believe in treating all of our customers, no matter your size, with the same level of detail and dedication.
Global Environmental Services understands responsibility.
Kenny Gravitt
Managing Principal
Kenneth Gravitt, began his career in the electronics industry in 1974. As the International Buyer for Priority Electronics, Gravitt took on his first of many roles with IBM. In 1979 Gravitt transitioned to IBM Federal Systems and his work in Asset Mitigation began. During this time Gravitt crafted his skill in identifying risk at the highest levels. In 1983 Gravitt was appointed to the role of Leadership of the IBM Emergency Response Team. He went on to accept additional roles as the Program Manager on two different high level projects in 1986 and again in 1988.
In 1999 Gravitt was involved with the transition from IBM to Lexmark at the Lexington Campus. At this time his role in Asset Management continued, personally developing the Lextrade program, and creating the FRU (Field Replacement Unit) part extraction processes in his Asset Leadership role. His extensive knowledge of downstream diligence, data security and environmental sustainability carried him through until his retirement from IBM/Lexmark in 2006.
Understanding the methods and logistical shell games that some engage in with the e-recycling business, led to Gravitts battle cry... "Not on my watch!" and the vision of what is now Global Environmental Services.
Deeply respected by those around him, Gravitt has been described as innovative, passionate, dedicated and trusted. Gravitt inspires these qualities in his team as he leads Global Environmental Services and the world to believe in his mission and the future of electronics recycling.
